VO: For 50 years now, we’ve delivered on a simple promise.
Vision: Illustrated landscape. A StarTrack truck moves along a highway.
VO: We’ll work with your business to deliver.
Vision: The truck slows and parks near a waving customer.
Vision: animated star transition to emulate going back in time.
VO: It all started in the 70’s, when lapels were wide, and the roads were narrow.
Vision: a flash back to the 70’s. A driver walks out from a Multigroup Distribution Services truck with ‘Discount Freight Express’ logo on the side and walks towards a waving business customer wearing wide lapels, flares and platform shoes, holding their delivery in a brown box.
VO: But we grew fast (just like disco).
Vision: close up of the driver handing the business customer the box. A disco ball is printed on the side.
VO: So, by 1988, as the nation went wild, we went national.
Vision: We see fireworks over Sydney Harbour filled with boats.
SFX: fireworks
VO: And when Aussies plugged into dial-up,
Vision: pull out to reveal the whole of Australia with a big ’88 in the centre. Fireworks spark in varying cities. We see the cities that the network reaches. The truck, now branded 'Discount Freight Express' winding its way through across Australia.
VO: we dialled up our game – with a cutting-edge digital dispatch system.
Vision: we zoom in to the Discount Freight Express truck tracking along an orange background. The road is made up of internet cables in StarTrack brand colours.
VO: In the 2000s, we grew even further, investing in our network and building facilities all over Australia.
Vision: cut back to the orange map of Australia surrounded by blue ocean. StarTrack Express trucks drive between major cities. Smaller markers indicate more routes open up.
VO: And were acquired by two Aussie icons in transport and logistics.
Vision: We see a Qantas plane, a StarTrack van, a StarTrack truck and an Australia Post van drive past. Like magic, the truck transforms into a larger truck with the new StarTrack branding while it drives.
VO: As Aussies became online shoppers, Australian airExpress retail merged with Star Track Express, and we became StarTrack – a business of Australia Post – offering unrivalled B2B and B2C delivery.
Vision: the vehicles and aircraft keep tracking along the road. We punch in, and the truck pulls to a parking spot. We see various people from diverse backgrounds looking at their smartphones, awaiting their deliveries. The truck stops and the StarTrack logo along the side fills the majority of the screen. When the truck pulls away, the people are holding their parcels, happy with the service.
VO: And we’ve continued to expand our air services, with world firsts, including the largest air freighter operating domestically in the southern hemisphere.
Vision: swipe up to the sky where a StarTrack-branded QANTAS A321 aeroplane flies through the clouds. Transition to show a larger StarTrack Branded QANTAS A330 as clouds zip by.
VO: A lot has changed, but what hasn’t is our commitment to our customers.
Vision: swipe back down to the road and the StarTrack truck driving.
VO: And we look forward to the next 50 years of working with your business to deliver.
Vision: pan out to StarTrack blue map of Australia. Markers of varying sizes showcase delivery routes for Australia Post and StarTrack capital cities, smaller towns and locations. White lines run through to showcase the growth in delivery paths and markers continue to pop up.
End Frame: Australia Post red postal horn, StarTrack logo, Celebrating 50 Years dinkus.
